About the Forums

The Need

Female business owners/Presidents and senior managers find it challenging to juggle the time constraints and responsibilities of running a business and a household, nurturing relationships with their family, and being involved in church and civic activities. In this hectic world, executives need time and a venue to work ON their relationships and their businesses with a Christ-centered perspective and not just IN their daily lives and businesses with a myopic focus.

Nearly half (48%) of all privately-held U.S. firms are 50% or more women-owned, according to the Center for Women's Business Research. These 10.6 million firms employ 19.1 million people and generate nearly $2.5 trillion in sales. Add to that a recent study by the National Science Foundation which reveals that there is a loneliness epidemic in America with more than a quarter of citizens saying they have no one with whom they can discuss their personal issues. With increased corporate responsibilities and personal isolation comes unique business, personal, and spiritual needs which require the encouragement and assistance of like-minded women.

The Mission

Christian Business Women's Forums are confidential small groups designed to encourage and assist business owners/Presidents or senior managers in the development and maintenance of Christ-centered businesses and personal/family lives through discipleship, accountability, and Biblical business support. CBWF provide tools, visions, and relationships for life success. Two levels of Forum membership are available:

1. Owners, presidents, CEO's, or
2. Senior management (CFO's, VP's, Directors)

The Organization

Christian Business Women's Forums are confidential groups of 6-8 Christian business women owners/Presidents or senior managers serving unofficially as your "Board of Directors" who can help you in your business and life decisions. We all need wise people we can trust to help us make tough business decisions, and we need Godly women who can disciple us in our business ethics, family relationships, and spiritual direction. Christian Business Women's Forums are:

• Business strategies with shared wisdom of Godly business Owners/Presidents, or senior managers serving unofficially as your directors,
• Assistance in using your business as a platform for God's purpose,
• Development of successful businesses and personal/family lives through discipleship, accountability, and business support,
• Insight into balancing both your personal life and business life,
• Support network for dealing with personal issues that confront all business owners.

The 4-5 hour meetings include a devotional, relationship building, hostess issues/concerns, round table discussion for FORUM member support, prayer requests, and fellowship. Core values include:

• Prayer
• Godly Counsel
• Mutual Support
• Accountability
• Confidentiality

The Benefits

Forums provide Christian Biblical principals to Christian business women owners/ presidents or senior managers in establishing their businesses as a platform for God's purpose, much like a Christian Board of Directors, by:

• searching Scriptures for guidance, for spiritual growth, and for practical Biblical application in business and personal issues;
• assisting each other in making the right decisions through prayer and expertise that will ultimately glorify God through their lives and businesses;
• obtaining strategies for dealing with personal issues that confront all business owners;
• providing insights into balancing both personal and business life;
• affecting the lives of family, employees, suppliers, customers, and competitors in a Christ honoring manner;
• helping to motivate their employees in a spiritual direction;
• providing a process of discipleship that will encourage evangelism using their business and their marketplace as a platform.
