· to develop Christian business and professional women to carry out the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19, 20); and
· to serve business and professional women as followers of Christ.
Marketplace Objectives
Christian Business Women's Fellowship desires to reach business and professional women with the gospel of Jesus Christ by:
Connecting with business and professional women:
· Encourage women towards spiritual growth for life change
· Enable women to manage and operate their careers and businesses according to Biblical principles
· Equip women in the marketplace to carry out the Great Commission
Establishing vital relationships with Christ:
· Present Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord to business and professional women
· Invite business women into a growing and intimate relationship with Christ
History
Christian Business Women's Forums began in Omaha, Nebraska in 2003 through the vision and passion of Christian women business owners to build successful businesses and implement Christian values in day-to-day decisions. They received support and materials from the CBMC Men's Forums (www.cbmcforums.com) in developing their vision and organizing their meetings.
As an outgrowth of the success of their Forum experience, these women wanted to provide FORUM opportunities for women worldwide. They became affiliated with CBMC International and selected a Director to develop the materials to expand Forums in the USA and abroad.
In working with Christian business women around the world, Christian Business Women's Forums saw the need for networking, fellowship, business support, and spiritual growth opportunities for all women in the marketplace. In the summer of 2006, Christian Business Women's Forums prayerfully expanded their brand to Christian Business Women's Fellowship in order to provide assistance and encouragement for all business women through Forums, Bible studies, outreach luncheons, mentoring, etc.
Women from around the world have contacted CBWF to be part of this ministry which connects them with Christ and with other business women. As a result, Chapter opportunities have been developed and are available. Currently there are chapters in Omaha, NE, Lincoln, NE, Chinese Chapter of LA and Hyberadad, India.
